Sulfur
Not many people can say that they know what sulfur is. In fact, many people often have to ask what sulfur is. The definition of sulfur is a chemical element that is also a tasteless metal. There are also many uses for sulfur. Some of the many commercial uses of sulfur are as fertilizers (the primary use), gunpowder, matches, and insecticides.
There are many other sulfur benefits other than being used commercially. Sulfur is another element that the body needs in some of its functions. It is another element that must be watched to make sure the body does not get an abundance of or a sulfur deficiency. Many times a doctor will tell their patients if they have a sulfur deficiency to try eating some food that contains sulfur. Some of the high sulfur foods available are garlic and onions, oats, nuts, and seeds, red meats, coconuts, and many vegetables. It would be almost impossible to find any food that a person does not like that contains sulfur. Otherwise, if a person did not want to mess around with finding the high sulfur foods, they may also take sulfur supplements. Supplements are available in a couple different forms as well as the amounts.
There are many facts about sulfur that people do not know or even realize. One of the sulfur facts is that sulfur is needed in the growth of hair, skin, and nails. Many times if you do not have enough sulfur, hair will become brittle or breaks easily. Many times if you go to a hair salon, the beautician will tell you to take a sulfur supplement to make the hair stronger. Many people have been taking sulfur for hair problems for many years, and nothing has been noted for having any side effects. In addition, there has been no amount set for the right amount.
Another thing that sulfur is being used for is the skin. Many times people use sulfur for skin. Sulfur is used for the skin because sulfur is the mineral needed to manufacture many proteins, such as for skin. Therefore, the more meats, beans, nuts, and dairy products you eat, the healthier the skin will be.
So if you are a person that is always on diets, make sure to always have some sort of protein foods in your diet. Without protein, there would not be any sulfur. Without sulfur, you would not have healthy hair, skin, or even bone.
