Boron
Just because many people have never heard of the element boron, doesn’t mean it is not an element or that it is not important. In fact, many and almost all the elements have many important facts or do many great things for humans and animals. There are many different facts about boron to learn. First off, if some one went and took a survey, over half the people would probably have to ask, “What is boron?”
Boron is a chemical element that is never found free in nature. Boron is found in many different compounds. In fact, there are even boron minerals. Boron the mineral is a trace mineral that is found in many plants. The boron mineral has been linked to possibly being essential for humans and an animal, showing that boron affects the blood markers of energy metabolism. In addition, it has been noted that boron is important for the utilization of energy and the maintenance of bones.
Many times when people have problems with their hormones, doctors will link boron and hormones together. The doctors will often tell the patients that boron will change the levels of their thyroid. Besides helping the thyroid, boron will also help elevate the levels of serum concentration of testosterone. There are many other functions in the body that boron helps. Some of the other functions it helps is brain function, activates vitamin D, enhances the memory, and promotes alertness.
Another thing that is linked together is boron and autism. Many times when people have autism, they say that there was not enough boron in the bodies' system when it brain was developing. Autism is caused because of disruption of early fetal brain development, which in many cases is lacking boron.
As well as any other element, if a person ingests too much boron or does not get enough it can be bad for the body. When a person gets a boron deficiency that are many symptoms he or she will get. Just a few of the symptoms are depression, problems metabolizing, and increased amounts of stress on the body.
When people eat food, they try to find food that is healthy for them. Many times, they don’t realize all the nutrition that is in the food. Some food is naturally full of boron while other food has none in it. Some of the boron food sources available are pears, prunes, pulses, raisins, tomatoes, and apples. You may also get a boron supplement if you do not like any of the foods that are rich in boron.
